How everything started-Single Mom the Power of Self
My name is Jenny. I was born in Granada, and, like many others of my generation, when I finished university, I left Spain in search of opportunities. In Gardena, I met my husband, liangxu, an art professor from Wuhan with great artistic talent. I love him like he loves our two children. However, bad luck came too suddenly. During the Chinese New Year in 2019, He went back to Wuhan to find his parents. Since then he has left us. The COVID-19 that took his life. Sadness makes me unable to extricate myself, It made me fall into depression for a long time. I liked painting, I hope to honor him in this way. However, my limitations with the brushes and, above all, with the blank canvas made me give up; artistic painting was not for me, and the smudged canvas ended up in the bin.
Later I become a single mom when I worked for multinationals. I learned a lot in those years and had a good salary, but the work was more stressful. My life has changed a lot, multinational companies have found various reasons to let me leave, My husband's friend Mark helped me connect with the original customers of multinational companies, he helped me build this website, Gives me and my kids a sustainable source of income.
I don't know if I can sell it, I want to try. worked to pay bills. That's when paint by numbers came my way. The method was straightforward: match the colors with the numbers on the canvas until the painting came to life. I still had the desire to paint "something" and be able to feel proud of it, so I bought the kit - worst-case scenario, I'd lost a few bucks.
But not everything was pretty. I was also let down by the many shortcomings of the existing kits on the market. I was so involved in the subject that I mentally recreated over and over again the optimal product I would love to buy, designing every detail to the millimeter. I was tempted by the idea of turning paint by numbers into more than just a hobby.
And we opened our first online store for the US market (the product was already known among the public, and therefore less investment was required) that began to receive visits from minute zero. From there, word of mouth, product quality, and our customer care did the rest.
The family got involved in the business, and we currently sell to more than 45 countries. Today, with our stores for the US and EU market.
